Here’s exactly what it is, what’s inside, how to take it, and honest guidance on folate in pregnancy.

One small capsule daily — no complicated morning routine. 60 capsules, a 60-day supply.

  • Active methylfolate

600µg of methylfolate, the biologically active form of folate, rather than folic acid.

  • Considered from the start

Formulated to support you from pre-conception and throughout pregnancy.

  • Vegan & gentle

Vegan-friendly and gluten-free, with a little ginger traditionally used for digestive wellbeing.

How to use it

What’s inside

  • Methylfolate — 600µg

The active form of folate. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and to normal blood formation.

  • Choline — 120mg

Contributes to normal lipid metabolism and to the maintenance of normal liver function.

  • Liposomal Vitamin C — 50mg

Contributes to normal immune function, protection of cells from oxidative stress and normal collagen formation.

  • Vitamin D — 50µg (2,000 IU)

Contributes to normal immune function and the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle function.

  • Ginger — 300mg

A botanical traditionally used for digestive wellbeing.

Folate in pregnancy — the honest bit

We’ll always be straight with you. Folate matters most around conception and in early pregnancy. UK guidance recommends taking folic acid before conception and during the first 12 weeks, and some people are advised a higher dose — so if that’s you, follow your midwife or GP. We use methylfolate, the active form, at 600µg. A food supplement supports a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle; it doesn’t replace one. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical care, have a quick word with your healthcare professional before starting.

Why methylfolate, not folic acid?

Folate is an essential B vitamin that’s in especially high demand around conception and in early pregnancy.

Folic acid is the synthetic form most supplements use; methylfolate is the biologically active form the body can use directly.

We chose 600µg of methylfolate so it’s ready to go — though UK guidance is written around folic acid, so please follow your midwife’s advice on dose.

What’s the ginger for?

Pregnancy is beautiful — but stomachs don’t always get the memo.

Ginger is a botanical traditionally used for digestive wellbeing, so we included 300mg alongside the vitamins.

It’s food-grade and gentle.

When should I start taking it?

Ideally from when you’re trying to conceive and through pregnancy — folate matters most around conception and in the first 12 weeks.

Folic acid vs methylfolate — what’s the difference?

Folic acid is the synthetic form; methylfolate is the active form the body uses directly. UK guidance is written around folic acid, so if you’ve been advised a specific dose, follow your midwife or GP.

Do I take it with food?

With or without — whatever’s kindest to your stomach. Just aim for the same time each day.

Is it vegan?

Yes — vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Is it suitable for me?

If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, please check with your midwife, GP or pharmacist before starting. Some people are advised a higher folate dose.
