How to use it

Apply generously
Smooth on evenly 10–15 minutes before sun exposure.

Protection depends on applying plenty — too little reduces the SPF you actually get.

At least every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying.

Why only SPF20?
A deliberate choice — and we’ll be honest about the maths. SPF isn’t linear: applied properly, SPF20 filters roughly 95% of UVB versus about 98% for SPF50 — a few percentage points, not “two-and-a-half times more”. SOL is about sensible, responsible sun protection when you need it, not fearing the sun. Whatever number’s on the tube, applying enough and reapplying regularly matters far more.
For the whole family — but not vegans
Made for all skin types and colours, and fine to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding (just avoid applying to the nipple area right before a feed).
For babies under six months, follow standard sun-safety advice — shade and clothing first. Patch-test on very sensitive skin.
SOL is NOT suitable for vegans or vegetarians: it contains organic grass-fed tallow and beeswax. We’d rather be completely transparent than pretend otherwise.
Does it leave a white cast?
No — that was the whole point. It rubs in beautifully with no chalky white residue, on all skin tones.
Is it greasy or sticky?
No. It’s lightweight, smooth and easy to spread, with no greasy or sticky finish.
Is it waterproof?
We don’t describe any sunscreen as fully waterproof. Reapply after swimming, sweating or towel-drying.
Can children use it?
Yes, it’s made with the whole family in mind. For babies under six months, use shade and clothing first, and patch-test sensitive skin.
Why 100ml?
So it fits the 100ml airport hand-luggage limit — throw it straight in your carry-on.
Might the texture change?
Slightly — the natural oils, waxes and tallow can soften in heat and firm up when cold. That’s normal; just store it somewhere cool.
